Influencer Marketing Manager

Our Growth Marketing Department is looking for a talented Influencer Marketing Manager with 3+ years of experience (not including internships) — the right candidate should be equally comfortable in a strategic position and a tactical/executional one when it comes to planning and deploying 360-degree influencer marketing campaigns. Multi-campaign project management and/or agency experience is a plus. 

About the Role:

This position is responsible for supporting the Brand Marketing Department with on-time delivery of accurate, effective, objective-driven client programs.

The Influencer Marketing Manager is responsible for content & influencer marketing campaign management across a diverse agency client roster. This position is responsible for influencer strategy development, execution, strategic reporting and creator management — as well as all creator-facing outreach, negotiations, communication and deliverable management. This person will also provide content marketing and analysis recommendations across social media management initiatives in an effort to build, maintain and grow a client’s reputation, credibility and brand awareness.

This is a remote opportunity with preference to candidates based in California (Los Angeles) or New York, where Darkroom has offices and reports to Darkroom’s Director of Brand Marketing. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Multi-campaign creator management, with a clear understanding of the various tiers and their respective goals/KPIs — leading everything from influencer discovery to outreach, negotiation, creative deliverable management. 

  • Source, onboard, negotiate, and manage influencer relationships & campaign deliverables

  • Build and distribute influencer-facing creative briefs and contracts 

  • Handle the influencer strategy, from building briefs, pitching influencers, to final contract signing and content delivery management.

  • Develop innovative strategies for new social and digital platforms, such as Tiktok, and up-and-coming influencer talent.

  • Create scalable processes that allow the program to grow quickly and effectively.

  • Manage clients’ budget, allocate spending across different channel strategies to meet and fulfill a full-funnel strategy.

  • Conduct high-level strategic work including campaign ideation, establishing KPIs and budget, creative analyses and identifying learnings and insights for future initiatives.

  • Balance strategy work with executional tasks such as talent seeding, negotiations, projections, tracking and attribution.

  • Actively work with client in determining influencer opportunities that align with their brand strategy for future months and quarters.

  • Collaborate with Darkroom’s Paid Social teams to make whitelisting recommendations

  • Work with Brand Marketing and cross-departmental teams to analyze bi-weekly social media/content marketing data and build reporting decks/presentations to client stakeholders and assess performance, areas for scale, and effectiveness against internal KPIs.

What You’ll Need to be Successful: 

  • 3+ years relevant experience in influencer marketing management (internships not included) 

  • 2+ years in social media management, content marketing or a related field 

  • 1-2+ years in a leadership or management role (agency setting a plus)

  • Proven track record of end-to-end influencer campaign management (strategy development, influencer discovery, outreach and rate negotiations, campaign reporting and analysis).

  • Confident communicator with experience in influencer/talent/creator communication, relationship-building & negotiation skills

  • Strong project management skills: Capable of managing multiple influencer campaigns across a variety of clients at one time while effectively meeting deadlines

  • Experience with discovery/ automation platforms used to source, evaluate and manage influencer relationships (Dovetale, Grin etc) 

  • Previous paid media/whitelisting experience and strong existing influencer contacts are both a plus 

  • TikTok campaign ideation, execution and analysis a plus

  • Proven ability to work productively in autonomous and team settings alike

  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact, drive actionable results and determine areas of opportunity and improvement. 

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
